About Us

Founded in 2023 by Pastor Jason and Kate Carver, Ephratha House Christian Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) charity incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania.

Both Pastor Jason and Kate have had a heart for Africa since their youth; they each tried to visit the continent during their high school years, but that door was not yet open to them. Pastor Jason first visited the African continent in 2019, when he stayed at an orphanage in Malawi for two weeks. That trip changed his life forever. He saw for the first time the global nature of the Body of Christ as well as what true poverty looked like.

Subsequently, God brought Pastor Jason and his wife, Kate, together and gave them a collective heart for African missions. During a trip back to Malawi in 2023, Jason and Kate witnessed the overwhelming need for orphan services in that part of Africa and experienced God's calling for them to establish an orphanage there. In obedience to that calling, Ephratha House Christian Ministries was founded and is on its way to embodying the vision that God has for it.

 

The Carvers are currently in the process of adopting three orphaned siblings from Malawi who they met while conducting a medical clinic in a rural village. The local orphanage was full, and they felt God put it on their hearts to adopt these three little ones, ages 2, 4, and, 5, who were living alone in a small shed.
