You are looking at our first orphanage!!
We thank God for His provision for these little ones in Malawi!!
We need to update the house a bit before we can bring kids in, though; we need to:
• Patch a hole in the roof.
• Raise the security wall and place barbed wire.
• Fence in the outdoor cooking area to protect the kids from the cooking fire (there is no indoor stove at this time).
• Paint the interior of the house.
• Purchase bunkbeds and cribs.
Total cost of renovation: Approximately $2,500 USD
This is the first iteration of Ephratha House in Malawi. We will be renting this house until we can move to a larger facility to serve more orphaned children. Here, we will be able to care for up to 10 children, ages 5 and under. We will be full the first day we open, and we pray to do that very soon.
Even running this small house requires a lot of infrastructure, staff, and security. One of our biggest needs after we get the house in shape is transportation. Please join us in praying for a reliable vehicle! We look forward to getting to a place where we don't have to rely so heavily on donations, but we're not there yet.
