And God Gives the Increase

Greetings from Ephratha House to yours! We just wanted to give you all an update! We are thrilled to announce that we currently have five children living at Ephratha House with more on the way! These are five children who, not many days ago, were cold, hungry, unsheltered, and uncared for. Today they are warm, nourished, loved, and being raised up in the Lord. We welcomed our first infant, baby Thandiwe, three weeks ago; this precious little girl was found abandoned on the street. Each of our children have endured horrors and adversity difficult for us to imagine, and all before their fifth birthday. Please pray for God to heal the wounds that these kids have endured and that they would know His love in Christ here at Ephratha House.

Our current operating capacity is ten children and we expect to be full soon. Every child we receive comes through Malawian social services, so the process can take some time. Once we reach capacity, our hands will be tied regarding the amount of children we can house and care for. Please join us in prayer that God will provide a larger facility to care for more of the thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children who dig through garbage heaps to find food, who are exploited, trafficked, and abused on a daily basis.

We currently employ 12 staff, most of whom are pictured here. From left to right we have: Stephano (Chief Security Officer, Yanja (Home Supervisor), Kate (COO), Lydia (age 3), Gloria (Staff Nurse), Rose (Support Staff), Halima (age 2), Esther (Caregiver), Larry (Board Member), Stanley (age 2), Sylvester (Security Guard), Harry (Security Guard), Martha (Caregiver), Tupo (staff's daughter), Pastor Jason (President), Levite (age 4), and Governor (Security Guard). You have planted and watered, and God has given the increase!! We are so grateful for your support in prayer, in the difficult moments, financially, and in spreading the word about what God is doing in Malawi. Mulungu akudaliseni!! (God bless you!!)
