Where We Work

We are blessed to have a small network of Kingdom-minded brothers and sisters in Christ in the small land-locked country of Malawi in southeastern Africa. God made it clear to us that Malawi is the inception point for Ephratha House on the African continent. Per the World Bank, "Malawi is the fourth poorest country in the world, with 70% of its population living on less than $2.15 a day."[1]    With its population approaching 20,000,000, the leading causes of death are still HIV/AIDS and neonatal conditions.[2]  Conditions that are easily treatable in the West kill in Malawi.

In the midst of this socioeconomic landscape, it is estimated that Malawi is home to more than 100,000 fully orphaned children under the age of 18 whose mother and father are both deceased. These are children who rummage through garbage piles to find food, who are abused, who are trafficked, who are murdered, who need your help.
